RAIDTech 800 is a hardware-based RAID that comes with two lockable SATA drive trays. The latch design gives you instant access to your drives from the front, making it easy to load, reload or replace hard disks at any time. The LCD on the front panel displays RAID information and the status of both drives. With the flip of a switch, RAIDTech's two drives will either stripe or mirror.

RAID 0 (stripe) -Biggest volume, both drives act as one large volume

RAID 1 (mirror) -Most secure; all data is copied from one drive to the other on-the-fly

Backing up your important data is essential, but can be a headache. Let RAIDTech backup for you! RAID 1 makes this as painless as possible. Simply set RAIDTech to RAID 1 and the data is copied from one drive to the other while you continue to work - even if RAIDTech is your boot volume.

Fast, data transfer and maximum compatibility
You'll get zippy transfer rates of up to 800Mbps to and from your computer with the FireWire 800 ports. If you don't have a FireWire 800 port on your computer, RAIDTech will work seamlessly with FireWire 400 (400 Mbps) or USB2. It's also plug and play with recent operating systems without installing new drivers.

Plug and Play
RAIDTech works right out of the box with no new drivers needed. It works with any modern operating system including Mac OS 9.1, 9.2, OS X and Windows 2K, XP, as well as any distribution of Linux that supports FireWire or USB. If using FireWire, additional FireWire devices can be daisy-chained through RAIDTech.
