iSCSI, bascially, means SCSI over IP - or, SCSI over your ethernet network connection. Virtually every computer has an ethernet port. RTX400-IR will require a network IP address, and you will connect to RTX400-IR with an iSCSI initiator. Because you can plug it in virtually anywhere in your network, it doesn't even need to be in the same room with you.

The many RAID options available with RTX give you the power to choose exactly how safe you want your data to be, and RAIDing with RTX is a piece of cake. The RAID options are on a scrolling menu, so it's easy to choose the RAID level you need. Configure as RAID 5, or even as a RAID 5 with a hot spare.
