No. The BlueTrip receiver only functions with the included BlueTrip iPod transmitter module.

Does BlueTrip support 5.1 channel audio through its optical audio output?
No. While BlueTrip can be connected to a multichannel stereo system via its optical audio output, the iPod only provides 2 channel stereo audio.
