Support for One-Pass and Two-Pass VBR compression
Two-Pass VBR compression produces much higher-quality video by
distributing bits in an optimized method. The first pass analyzes the
data; the second pass compresses the data for maximum performance based
on the first-pass data profile.
Alpha channel
Using the new On2 VP6 codec, encode an 8-bit alpha channel in videos
for real-time compositing on top of any other Flash content.
Higher-quality video codec
On2 VP6 provides superior video quality at a much smaller file size.
Optimizations
The VP6 codec is optimized to produce the best quality video available on high-resolution material (640x480 and higher).
HD Encoding
Compresses high-definition (HD) material with no restrictions on the
encoder. VP6 can play back 1920x1080 HD material on a 2.5 GHz PC and
1280x720 material on a 1.5 GHz PC.
