The AV Dock for iPod provides an easy and
affordable way to connect your iPod to a computer, stereo or TV. The
dock enables you to:
Connect the iPod to a PC or Mac in order to sync or charge the iPod*
Connect the iPod to a stereo or powered speakers using the line out jack
Connect the iPod to a TV using the S-Video jack *
Charge the iPod from an AC outlet using the USB Power Adapter
Control the iPod from around the house with the sleek, 16-function RF Remote
The Remote Control sets the AV Dock apart from solutions made by other
brands. Unlike infrared remotes made by most competitors, the AV Dock's
RF remote works to 60 ft or more -- even through walls and furniture.
The 16 functions provided on the remote offer functions such as
Next/Previous playlist and Next/Previous Album. Most remotes offered by
competitors provide just 8 functions.
* The AV Dock will allow you to remote control any compatible iPod.
Viewing movies and slideshows on an external monitor requires an iPod
with TV out capabilities. iPod nano's have slideshow support but they
do not have TV Out.
