SteelVine is a term for "port multiplied eSATA". This technology uses processors to multiply (or "mux") four signals into one cable. Standard eSATA cables are used with SteelVine, yet that one cable can access multiple disk drives, with very fast access speeds.

Sorta Like Floppy Disks, but Better
JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks) RTX enclosures, such as parts ending in SJ, NJ, and SV units, bring back an old familiarity to comping - the mentality we had with floppy disks.
